The second interview is to discuss details with candidates who are seriously being considered, and will be more in depth than the first. It provides an opportunity to verify your first impression and ask more questions. Sometimes, the candidates will be meeting with different members of the committee and board. Using the position description, they can be asked for details about their experience and abilities that directly relate to your position. You may also offer scenarios to assess their response to specific situations and challenges. The candiates should be encouraged to ask questions. A tour of the association is usually conducted also.
