Community association managers who have included detailed specifics in their resumes have been able to remain competitive in today's slower job market. Recently, while assisting a board in their search for a new manager, I was discussing the experiences and qualifications of a local manager who had several years of CAM management experience. During the conference call, the board members complained that his resume lacked detail. The felt they were unable to determine how he was qualified to manage their community. I was able to share the information with the manager and offered some tips and ideas to more fully expand upon his experience on the resume. He added information about his duties, responsibilities, accomplishments and projects managed at his previous positions. He was hired and is now managing their association!
