October 30, 2018 - Maintenance Technician

Areas: Miami

Maintenance technician for a Miami association, CAM license not required. Must have a minimum of 2 years of general experience in building trades, repair and maintenance or handy work. Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required. Will maintain the grounds, facilities and amenities of the association. Will report to the maintenance supervisor or manager. Will ensure that all mechanical systems and equipment are functional and properly maintained in a clean and aesthetically appealing condition. Will provide exemplary service while demonstrating outstanding customer service skills.


* HVAC certification.

* Command of computer hardware/software is preferred, but not required.

* Multiple language fluency is desirable.

* May be required to travel for training sessions off site.

* Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on project requirement.

* Ability to respond to emergencies and callouts in a timely manner.


* Review and complete work orders.

* Routinely inspect the community, advise of any issues and make corrections.

* Utilize and maintain equipment in a proper, safe and effective manner.

* Maintain working relationships with community staff.

* Painting or touch up of all common areas.

* Properly perform casual labor, such as lifting and moving heavy items.

* Make general carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other minor repairs.

* Maintain records and maintenance reports.

* Report need for major repairs to the manager and maintenance supervisor.

* Checks all lighting daily.

* Pressure wash decks, sidewalks, entrances and air conditioning and heat pump pads.

* Regularly check air conditioning drip pans for draining and clogs.

* Assist with hurricane preparation.

* Maintain recreational amenities, such as tennis courts, basketball court, bocce court. Job #12558
