Thank you very much for your courteous, prompt and effective assistance in locating and contacting David H. Volk following my telephone call to you several weeks ago.
You may remember that I told you our board of directors was considering terminating Lake Clarke Garden’s contract with the management company to return to self management, and wanted to consider David as a possible general manager for our association.
As requested, David contacted Katherine D. Ward (the association’s treasurer), and me. After we interviewed him, the board voted to terminate the management company contract effective August 31, 2005 and to hire David as a consultant to the association for one month effective August 1, 2005, and as the association’s general manager effective September 1, 2005. The consultant month will aid him and the association in making the transition back to self management. He signed his contract with the association last week.
Over the past several years we on the board have enjoyed reading the Florida Community Association Journal and its predecessor, and have found several of the articles and other contents particularly useful. I’m certain we will continue to do so.
