Part time bookkeeper for a condominium in Marco Island, approximately 20 hours per week, CAM license not required. The position can be onsite at the association’s office or remote. This position can be either be a consulting/1099 position or an employee position.
Must be organized and detail oriented. Will manage the day to day accounting activities, ensure accurate financial recordkeeping and support the financial management process. This role is vital in helping the association stay financially healthy, compliant and efficient. Must be proficient in accounting software, possess strong mathematical skills and be proactive in problem solving.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
* Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
* Proficiency would be helpful, but not fully required in these types of accounting software: TOPS, Enumerate, QuickBooks, Xero, Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
* Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* High school diploma required, associate degree or higher in accounting or related field preferred.
* Familiarity with payroll processing and tax regulations is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping:
* Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded in the accounting system.
* Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
* Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements and other accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
Accounts Payable And Receivable:
* Manage accounts payable and ensure all invoices are processed in a timely manner.
* Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.
* Prepare and send billing statements, invoice and payment reminders.
Payroll Processing:
* Process payroll, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
* Prepare and submit payroll taxes and related reports to relevant government agencies.
Financial Reporting:
* Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
* Generate reports on accounts and other financial data.
Tax Preparation:
* Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other required financial documents.
* Ensure all financial records comply with local, state and federal regulations.
General Accounting:
* Maintain and update the general ledger.
* Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation.
* Track fixed assets and depreciation.
Financial Analysis:
* Identify discrepancies or issues in financial transactions and resolve them promptly.
* Help management analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights.
Compliance and Record Management:
* Ensure compliance with all accounting policies, procedures and legal regulations.
