Areas: Orlando

Controller needed for a large association in the Orlando area, CAM license not required. Will compile, review, reconcile, prepare and analyze entries to facilitate the bookkeeping function. Will process financial statements and other reports in an accurate and timely manner. Will coordinate accounts payable processing.

Requirements:

* Excellent people skills, team building skills and conflict management skills.

* Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, especially Word, Outlook and Excel.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to make sound business decisions and work effectively with little or no supervision.

* Strong time management skills.

* Strong problem solving and conflict management skills.

* Ability to successfully work with a wide range of personnel including vendors, personnel, office staff and all levels of management personnel.

* Knowledge of Vantaca software is a plus.

Responsibilities:

* Review and process accounts receivable activities in conjunction with operations and accounting teams to ensure timeliness, accuracy, accountability and general ledger coding and posting monthly into general ledger.

* Compile, prepare, back up and analyze all financial reporting to provide accurate, timely information to management and the board.

* Compile all financial statements covering all activities of the association and the maintenance of all budget control procedures.

* Compile daily, weekly and quarterly reports.

* Prepare monthly financial statements.

* Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.

* Ensure timely and accurate receivables postings are completed.

* Reconcile monthly bank statements.

* Prepare the financial statement, periodic forecasts and annual budget to provide support to ensure timely, accurate information.

* Keep management promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.

* Maintain a favorable working relationship with all employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.

* Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.

* Perform or assist with any operations to maintain workflow and to meet schedules.

* May participate in meetings to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain a specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies and regulatory guidelines. Job #13039
