Portfolio manager for an association management company in Broward County. Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of association management experience and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments in a management capacity responsible for budget administration and related fiscal and operational responsibilities with strong preference for multiple site experience. Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, maturity and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals.

Will serve in a responsible management and administrative position serving as the principal adviser to community associations. Will be responsible for all matters of operations, budget and fiscal responsibility and implementation on behalf of the associations. This is a front line position providing excellent customer service to members of the general public and other company employees. Personal contact occurs with other employees of the company, attorneys, contractors and owners. Service is provided in person, email, typed correspondence and by telephone contact.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

* Consult with board and participate in the formulation of policy decisions.

* Oversee the initiation, implementation and review of all budgetary and fiscal matters within the board's scope of responsibility.

* Act as the board’s representative, working with community constituents, government agencies, outside vendors, organizations and the community.

* Ensure the board remains informed on issues of importance.

* Establish and maintain effective and positive relationships with the associations.

* Attend evening association meetings, board or professional meetings.

* Prepare and present various reports to the board, governmental agencies concerning issues affecting the associations, code, life safety, etc.

* Meet regularly with the board members to discuss projects, programs, plans, problem resolution and related issues.

* Establish objectives and associated goals for various programs to achieve the most effective and efficient operation possible.

* Establish the leadership and effective workforce management for all on site vendors and employees.

* Plans, schedules and coordinates general maintenance and major repairs of the associations.

* Solicit and analyze contractor bids for repairs, renovations and maintenance. * Organize and manage the association’s board meetings and documents.

* Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, and maintaining association documents and correspondence.


* Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents including governing documents of community associations and Florida statutes.

* Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints.

* Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

* Machines and equipment: required to operate a computer, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, calculator, telephone, cell phone, fax machine, copy machine, scanner.

* Extended hours including night time meetings.

* Must be flexible.

* Bilingual English/Spanish would be a big plus.
