Areas: Fort Myers

General manager for a beachfront condominium on Sanibel Island. Will be responsible for general management of the vacation resort. Will provide daily management and direction of staff and operations of the association. Will oversee operations, rental program, financial planning (budget and forecasting), owner and guest relations and maintenance of building and grounds. These functions are performed individually or through subordinate employees.

A primary responsibility will be to oversee the 2024 relaunch and ongoing administration of the resort’s onsite rental business. Will also be responsible for all other functions that are customary for condominium resort communities. Will work alongside the current general manager for a period to provide continuity with guests, owners and service providers and to ensure a thorough orientation to the many aspects of operations.

Requirements:

This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the management of a vacation resort condominium association, or other similar type resort and a bachelor’s level degree in resort management, or other business related field (hospitality, hotel management, business or finance). Must have highly developed communications skills and work well in a team environment with staff, guests, owners, board and the community at large. This position requires the ability to work under pressure to consistently provide quality guest service. Must be highly organized and capable of handling multiple priorities and projects simultaneously and be a creative problem solver. This position requires knowledge of relevant codes, laws and ordinances related to state condominium laws, fire and health codes, workman compensation laws, tax requirements and local ordinances. This position requires proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook with experience with computerized rental network software, QuickBooks and RNS or comparable is a plus. Must have the ability to understand financial reports and have a familiarity with laws and regulations regarding transition, implied warranties, and related issues. Weekends are a required aspect of the job.

Salary, reimbursement for medical, dental and vision insurance (not to exceed $600 per month), 401k, paid holidays, vacation and Profit Share Bonus plan up to 10% of base salary. Job #10908
