Chief engineer for a luxury high rise in Sunny Isles, CAM license not required. Must be highly experienced and skilled to oversee all engineering and maintenance operations. Extensive experience in managing high rise buildings is required. A solid background in engineering and hospitality experience is a plus.
Requirements:
* Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering and maintenance management, with extensive experience in high rise buildings.
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management or a related field preferred.
* Skills: Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire safety.
* Certifications: Relevant certifications (HVAC certification, electrical license) are a plus.
* Detail Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships with residents, staff and vendors.
* Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
* Problem Solving: Effective problem solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing issues.
* Hospitality Experience: Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.
Responsibilities:
* Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance and operations of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire safety systems.
* Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of engineers and maintenance staff, providing direction, support and training to ensure high performance and exceptional service.
* Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the community is well maintained and all equipment operates efficiently.
* Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, ensure timely and cost effective completion of maintenance and repair projects.
* Compliance: Ensure all building operations comply with local, state and federal regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
* Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans and respond to emergencies, ensure the safety and security of residents and staff.
* Budget Management: Prepare and manage the engineering department budget, ensure financial responsibility and cost control.
* Project Management: Oversee capital improvement projects, from planning and budgeting to execution and completion.
* Resident Relations: Maintain positive relationships with residents, address maintenance requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
* Reporting: Prepare regular reports on maintenance activities, building performance and project status for the management team.
