December 23, 2023 - Club Manager: $75,000-$100,000


Club manager for a gated community in Okeechobee County, which includes equestrian facilities, pool, fitness center, tennis courts and hunting areas. Will be responsible for implementing the decisions of the board and running the day to day operations of the community. Must be a good decision maker with sound judgment and reasoning with rural land management experience and also is professional in appearance and attitude while possessing the ability to work well with others. Must have a good understanding of the principles of contracting, construction, physical facilities maintenance, human resources, accounting, insurance, board management, education, government relations and Florida homeowners association law.

As an actively managed, rural club with many outdoor amenities, an ideal candidate to serve as the manager would enjoy the rural Florida lifestyle, have a desire to conserve native Florida habitat and have experience in most of the following areas:

* Rural land management

* Agricultural and earth moving equipment maintenance.

* Horses

* Hunting

* Wildlife management

* Firearms

* Cattle

* Controlled burning

* Invasive plant control

* Construction

* Construction project management

* Facilities management

* Palmetto berry management

* Wild hog and nuisance wildlife management

* Aviation


* Strong leadership abilities with a willingness to take ownership of matters to accomplish all objectives including operational and financial.

* Comfortable with public speaking.

* Ability to manage workflow amid shifting priorities.

* Ability to delegate responsibilities.

* Ability to motivate, develop and manage a team.

* Excellent written and verbal communication.

* Ability to meet deadlines and address time sensitive issues.

* Conflict resolution skills.

* Ability to provide high level customer service with attention to detail and organization.

* Team player.

* Ability to communicate effectively with members, guests and employees in one on one and small group situations in a fast paced environment.

* Ability to create and disseminate written correspondence.

* Must be computer literate.

* Must be able to perform math computations essential for budgeting and cost analysis purposes.


* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

* High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

* 3-5 years of experience in rural land management.

* Proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and QuickBooks.

* Proven leadership experience is required.

* Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

* Professional appearance.

* Strong organizational skills, time management skills and presentation skills. * Strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
